Canberra is a very special city in that residents and visitors can experience the pleasures of the bush without having to travel great distances. Wildlife is abundant within the city and outer areas. Spotting kangaroos is a popular activity with locals and visitors alike. To say, ‘a kangaroo hopped down my street’, is certainly not unheard of in many Canberra suburbs.
This tour is by request. Just call to ask if I can take you kangaroo spotting. If I am available, I will!
This tour is especially for those who are keen to spot kangaroos and birds (and often other native animals) in and around the city. Perfect for residents and visitors alike. You will be collected from your hotel, or at a central point in the city at around 7am for an early morning kangaroo spotting experience. (Early morning is a good time to see kangaroos.) You will learn about these fascinating animals as you find them in their natural environment, gain some spotting techniques, and enjoy the privilege of being up (fairly) close, often no more than 20 to 30 metres away.
You will be returned to your collection point around 8.30am.
There will be lots of opportunities for photos.
